GOOD THINGS
An Awards ceremony was held November 7, 2023, at the Carrollton Center of Performing Arts. The Foundation awarded $312,000 in Grants to 30 non-profit organizations operating in Carroll, Haralson, and Heard Counties.
Giving Hearts was awarded funding to expand its Client Choice Pantry Module and Program. Funds included costs for the new location. We expanded our operations from an 800-square-foot facility to over 2200 square feet. The award allowed us to purchase 4 additional Freezers, Two refrigerators, and two rooms of additional shelving. It will also allow us to expand our program to Whitesburg, GA which is currently underway via the use of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
FUNDRAISER
Giving Hearts, Inc. needs to raise capital. We looked for a Fundraiser that wouldn't be very stressful for everyone involved.
You will receive a challenge from a friend to make a $25.00 donation. There are three ways to do so online. Once you have made your donation, post the following:
"Dear friends, I am supporting a small Pantry that has a BIG IMPACT in the community it serves. It is Giving Hearts Client Choice Pantry, located in Carrollton. It exists to reduce food insecurity in Carroll County by addressing food access disparities in rural and low-income communities.
Approximately one in ten county residents—over 12,000 individuals—lack consistent access to affordable, nutritious food. Many live in food deserts where transportation limitations and geographic isolation restrict healthy food options, increasing the risk of diet-related illnesses such as diabetes and heart disease.
Our mission is to provide accessible, nutritious food with dignity and choice to those most affected by these barriers."
